Request a Choctaw Booking Photo
Call the Choctaw County Jail at 662-285-6129 and ask how the records custodian accepts written Mississippi Public Records Act requests. Obtain the current address or email before sending a date of birth or other identifying information. A narrow request should state the full name, identifying detail, booking number if known, and approximate booking period. Ask for the photograph tied to that booking, not every image bearing a similar name.

A law-enforcement notice or news report may carry a photo that was supplied at arrest. That dated item proves publication, not continued custody or guilt. Choctaw Mugshots and Expungement
Release does not erase a booking photo and does not by itself create expungement eligibility. Under Mississippi Code section 99-19-71, eligible felony relief generally requires completion of every sentence term and condition and a five-year wait. Offense exclusions and a one-conviction limit also apply. Section 99-19-72 sets a $150 filing fee. Eligible misdemeanor relief follows its own requirements.
The county retention schedule says expungement records are destroyed according to the specific court order. That can create a gap between the official present record and old copies held elsewhere. Review the actual order to learn what the court directed. Then send that order to the official record custodian and ask how it applies to the maintained booking image.
